Its one and two star share is 1 point below the typical installer in the Portland area. Across Maine, 22 of the 43 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 216 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

We were mislead to the point of feeling lied to about how the solar tax credits work. We were told we would receive the tax credits and be able to apply that money to the loan and get the payments down to where we needed them to be. They showed us a chart of loan payments with the tax credit amount removed to calculate the payments. You do NOT get the solar credits back as a cash value. Those credits are only useable if you owe taxes at the end of the year. You could conceivably never be able to use them if you never owe taxes at the end of the year. Stuck with a payment that’s well above what

They sent their experts to come assess where the best spot for the solar to go and of the 4 acres they decided in the woods was a good idea. They barely cleaned up the mess they left in my basement (even though I left out an shop Vac and a broom) and they ran over my leach field. So now half of our panels get about 60% sun and I’m going to have to hire someone to come out and clear the trees. All in all I cant recommend them. we were excited to finally go solar but now are disappointed in the work we were left with and we’ll have to pay more then we expected. The workers were nice but that was

I waited several weeks for a site visit and then several more to be told they didn’t want to install additional panels at my home.

They were quick on getting us a quote. I highly recommend getting multiple quotes though. I had 2 other solar companies tell me my house is too shaded for solar panels. MSS quoted be around $40k to install panels and never mentioned our house being too shaded. I am glad we didn't move forward on a project that wouldn't have really benefited us. I emailed them asking about this discrepancy and just never heard back. 🤷

MSS installed solar panels along with inverter and battery for our off grid camp. Phil and his crew were very efficient and courteous. The entire crew worked together and knew what had to be done. When they left the site was clean and you wouldn’t even know they were there. Once they were done we had MSS electricians come in and wire our camp and upgrade some old wiring. Connor and Trenor listened to what we needed to have done, again they were efficient and courteous and the site was clean and wired the way we wanted. Both the Solar crew and Electricians gave us a date and time and were alway

I can only say that my wife and I are extremely please with the entire process of purchasing through installation of our solar system. Maine Solar Systems has kept us up-to-date every step of the way. The Teams is personable and knowledgeable about all the permitting. The installation Team did a fantastic job - very neat and clean. They used Enphase equipment which is made in the U.S.A. They only needed one day to install our system and then walked us through it. We would like to thank Peter and Delano for their assistance! They found a way to make the system affordable. If you are considering

Our solar panels and battery backup went live in June and I couldn’t be happier! , Although we are blocked from getting direct sun later in the day, we still get eight or nine hours of good sunlight, enabling a good buildup of energy stockpile during the day and battery usage during evening hours. We have had a couple of outages but had we not gotten a text we wouldn’t have noticed. System is running fine, a major asset to the house . Panels are virtually invisible on the roof

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
