Its one and two star share is 3 points below the typical installer in Michigan. Across Michigan, 49 of the 84 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 3 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

What reviewers said

Johnny was excellent and explained everything in a way I could understand. He took the time to answer all of my questions. I would recommend him to others interested in solar power for their electricity.

Johnny was awesome throughout the whole process from start to finish. Anytime I had a question he was always available and had the answers. I recommend you contact Mitten Solar and ask for Johnny!

Quick, easy, simple. Mark walked me through the whole process, explained everything in great detail yet still understandable. He broke down the cost to make sure I wasn't paying anymore for my loan than I would have been paying for my electricity so it's a simple transition. He helped me get the information I needed to apply for my rebates and even swung by on installation day to make sure everything was going to plan. Strongly recommend. Mark was a gem. :-)

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Licensed

“(ask us for details). Several licensed, professional installation companies…”

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. Grand Haven is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
