    I’ve been researching solar for at least 3 weeks now and have spoken with half a dozen companies. NEC Solar was among the top 3, and despite a good first impression, I ultimately decided not to go with them. First, the good: Artie is great! I lucked out when he showed up at my door for my appointment with Liz, the sales person. He is very meticulous and patient and we explored several different options together, like placing panels on different roof surfaces and even simulating the effect of removing some trees.     The project was an amazingly smooth process from start to finish. NEC handled all coordination between Eversource and the town inspectors, was extremely transparent every step of the way, and worked tirelessly to get our system completed and active before the 12/31/25 deadline to receive full tax credits. They were honest with us up front regarding our chances to receive the tax credits and did not attempt to promise what they couldn't guarantee, yet they were still able to get the system to PTO status before the deadline.     The roof replacement and installation of the solar panels went smoothly with no surprises. I would highly recommend NEC for any solar project.

    I bought a 20-panel solar system from them to be installed on my metal roof. As a former civil engineer project manager, they did an outstanding job. They provided an excellent design that optimized my challenging roof orientation, taking into account the shade from each nearby tree. They kept me fully informed and aware of the panels/microinverters/equipment in their proposal, even when tariffs made the original panels unaffordable a week before install.
