Its one and two star share is 2 points above the typical installer in Santa Rosa. Across California, 734 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.
The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 175 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Five stars for the installation — outstanding project manager and crew: responsive, punctual, professional, top-quality work. One star for the sales process. When we raised concerns, I believe the salesperson my partner dealt with wanted to make things right, but sales leadership stepped in, dismissed our concerns as unfounded, and offered nothing. Those concerns were (and still are): 1) Sketchy contract execution. NPP offers a 5-year prepaid lease in partnership with Balto Energy. It lets homeowners offset installation costs because the leasing company collects a 30% federal tax credit (no lo

My experience with Northern Power systems started out all lovely and then went downhill fast. These guys don’t know how to bid on the project. They tried to tack on a huge price after the the given pricing. I would avoid.

This outfit refused to even consider providing battery backup to an existing solar array, because they are afraid of getting sued.

I have had 4 residential solar systems installed over the years. Last 2 systems with Northern Pacific Power. Most recent system includes battery back up. Systems are working as expected but more importantly my experience working with the entire team at NPP was and continues to be excellent. Sales team, install technicians, and system management communicated well and followed thru with what they promised. I can recommend them to you for your solar project. Kurt

NPP reputation preceded the work that they performed at our house. Install went quickly and efficiently, the tech even helped me reinstall priceless grandchildren art on my garage wall! Only issue was a billing misunderstanding that was cleared up quickly. Dan Moran, the project manager, followed the install every step of the way and is also providing post-install guidance as we fine-tune our new Tesla batteries. Recommend using NPP for your next solar project.

Incredible service all around. We are so happy we decided to work with Northern Pacific. They were extremely efficient, easy to work with, transparent, and communicated well. They walked me through the entire process and made me feel like they always had my best interest in mind.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

- It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.
What we don't know
- The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
- We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
- We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
- We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
