The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 89 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

I’m aware of the fact that it’s to-date one of the few negative reviews for Vital Energy, but I’m going to share my warning to others, as it could suggest that they may not be of the same quality as before. Vital’s quote was higher than most others we received, but given their reviews, we decided it was worth the extra spend for a clean install. Pre-install had delays and miscommunications. I know this is common with projects, so I remained positive. I was sent engineering plans for approval and saw that they were for a smaller system than what I had originally agreed to. 1 rep from this company ignored my "No Trespassing" sign and knocked on my door to ask me who did my solar that we already have. Got my dogs barking for no reason and interrupted me working. THEN I follow him to his car to get plates because I was going to call the cops/company to complain and he fake calls the cops on me instead telling them that I am threatening him and blocking his car (I wasn't). So I say lets wait for the cops then and stand behind their truck. They (was another rep in the car) then drive away. No cops ever show. If you are looking for solar installers that can't read, li

This company lied to me about how it work some guy named Alan said it would be free I have had the panels but failed the inspection with the city and I’ve just had the panels not turned on and I’m still paying for them I want a refund!

Vital Energy provided the most competitive quote, and installation went well. However, the energy production was lower than expected. It took some effort to discover that Vital Energy used 290W microinverters for my 400W panels. Higher wattage (370W) microinverters are available for a minor additional cost. I am quite disappointed that these were not used in my installation.

What creative thinkers! We have an unusual situation and they stepped up and put on their thinking caps to design a solution that fit our high bar for sustainability and aesthetics. The team was super, efficient, polite, and answered our questions well. Plus the price was quite reasonable. Bravo Vital Energy!

Carrie, Dustin and Alexsis were my contacts for our panel replacement project. They offered me good pricing and were very responsive, friendly and extremely helpful addressing my questions/concerns. The installation crew were friendly and very efficient. Taylor was helpful with the disposition of the old panels. Dustin is helping with some follow-up investigation since the installation. I couldn't be more pleased with Vital Energy and highly recommend them.

Vital Energy was recommended to me by several people, neighbors and friends that were happy with their service. I first contacted them about the beginning of September, knowing that the federal tax energy credit would be ending at the end of the year. My first consultation of was with Brian, who gave me his recommendations on how many solar panels and batteries, might need, but he also had many other options, based on my particular needs. Once I decided those details I was put on the schedule for installation in November. The crew that came out to install the batteries, the panels and all the

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Financing

“and lifetime support. With flexible financing options, competitive pricing, and…”

  • Established

“Homes and Businesses in the North Bay Since 1971 We’re honored to be chosen as…”

Its website also mentions 24/7 availability, insured, licensed and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
