Horrible service. They installed a 1200 BTU ac/dc split system that has never worked. They wanted paid to come out and look at the install? Stay away.

    The maintenance service is unsatisfactory.

Do NOT use this company. Period. You will regret it!

Had my Solar Water Heating system serviced as per the 5 year standard. The service runs $325.00 for about 20 minutes of work and approximately $55.00 or less in parts. This to me being a contractor is somewhat high. Now that I know what to do I will service the unit myself in the future. However for those that do not feel comfortable servicing their own unit be prepared to pay a high price. The service includes flushing deposits out of the water storage tank, replacing the sacrificial anode that resides with in the tank itself and change the pressure relief valve located on the roof panel. I am quite suprised to see ANY negative reviews of Poncho's Solar, we had them install Solar Water Heating MANY years ago, and their service has ALWAYS been very good, and the system has never given us any problems.

We started looking into installing solar panels when our electric bill skyrocketed during the summer. Our cousin had just got his solar installed bay Poncho's Solar and was very satisfied. We contacted Harumi to get an estimate and received an in person quote within a few days. We also inquired with 2 other solar companies but did not get the same personal customer service response like we did from Harumi, who was very informative with the current energy programs and tax credits being offered and who patiently answered our many, many questions. We were given several options and when we decided

I have hired and paid several solar installation and repair companies since 2019 for both my solar energy systems on 2 homes. I will never use any other solar company for any reason again in Hawaii. Ponchos Solar of Oahu has the most knowledgeable & friendly crew than any other I have encountered. I do not make these statements casually. I read other reviews and appreciate the information. However, I am compelled to share the excellent experience I have had with everyone at Ponchos Solar from my very first phone call. The expertise I have personally witnessed by Jason, Carlos & Kui as well as

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
