Its one and two star share is 1 point above the typical installer in Iowa. Across Iowa, 21 of the 46 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 678 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

After a year, I’m still paying a full electric bill and now a monthly solar panel bill on top of that. Was told my tree needs cut down after they installed my panels and a year of paying midamerican. Was offered $260 for compensation. Would have never of put panels on my house if they would have told me about the tree in the beginning. Update, still no saving on my power bill. Was told everything is working great! Yea right! DO NOT PUT SOLAR PANELS ON YOUR ROOF!! It is not worth the savings. If you don’t believe me, use google!

Their communication is absolutely terrible. Our energy bills have doubled, yet the company refuses to come out, talk to us, or even take a look at the system. They keep insisting everything is “working properly.” If that’s true, then why were our summer energy bills so high? The energy company says we’re not receiving enough energy from the panels, while you claim we’re overproducing—so which is it? Now, to make matters worse, we can’t even refinance our home because of this mess. What an absolute scam.

We had this company put our panels in a few years ago. Promised the sun, moon and stars as well as a big check from the government. The check was a joke due to o the fact we don't have to file taxes because of being Senior Citizens and have a low income. Beware of sweet talk.

Purelightpower earned a true 5+ star rating from start to finish for installation of our 16.6 KW solar system. I couldn't be happier with every interaction and everyone we dealt with on their team. From Austin Williams (initial solar consultant) to Brady (did the massive site visit) to Tommy Letchworth (project coordinator) to Jonathan Tilson (final wrap up meeting) and all of the installation workers in between, everyone was knowledgeable, polite, professional, friendly and timely. Without exception! The company did everything they said they would, when they said they would. They handled all

Pure light was very easy to deal with and Pure Light explained everything to me fully did a great job with the installation and did a great job explaining all the features of my solar panels how they work and how much energy they create I give them five stars

Professional sales team, installers and customer support. Five stars all the way. We highly recommend working with Purelight!

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It posts on Instagram, X and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
