Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in the Irvine area. Across California, 596 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 147 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in the Irvine area, on one axis

Each mark is one company we hold in the Irvine area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Revco Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Revco sold us a new system 2 years ago with a 12 year warranty. We called them for service and they charged us $249 dollars and told us we no longer have a warranty. They claim the warranty was not theirs. They claim the Solar Panels they sold us were warranted from "Fifco". So now we have no warranty. We bought this system to have a warranty. This is very poor service and Revco does NOT back there products. Do not buy from Revco.

I installed an electric and pool heating solar system with revco back in 2007. Revco will not stand behind the products they sell, and your warranties are essentially worthless Tiffany who runs their warranty department, and Jim their sales department do not return phone calls. Beware of working with this company.

Won't honor warranty for leaking pool solar panel. Referred me to manufacturer. No help there, either. Don't use this company.

This is the second time we have leak . Lost a lot of water

Jose came out, fixed a leak in the solar heating, and replaced a leaky valve. It cost $40 over the normal solar checkup fee. Nice guy, didn't try to run up the bill.

They scheduled my repair quickly. The technician was on time, very professional and did a great job.

Morgan was great! He found the problem and fixed it quickly!

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Financing

“season and reduce pool heating costs. Financing options may be available for qualified solar…”

Its website also mentions warranty, established, insured and licensed, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Instagram, LinkedIn, X and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
