Its one and two star share is 1 point above the typical installer in the Irvine area. Across California, 536 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.
The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 568 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.
Every company we hold in the Irvine area, on one axis
Each mark is one company we hold in the Irvine area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. EnergyAid is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Outage went unreported for weeks — no on-site diagnosis provided I hired EnergyAid in January 2026 for solar monitoring and maintenance after my original installer went out of business. I paid $848 for onboarding (inspection, panel cleaning, and installation of a monitoring device), plus $29/month for their Premium service, which includes proactive monitoring. In March, my solar system stopped producing power. I was never notified. I only discovered the outage myself on April 1 through the monitoring app. When I contacted EnergyAid, I was told to reboot the inverter and send a photo of the err

Unreasonable pricing. They told me the part was covered under warranty. The charge is $1700 for labor. I talked to a former tech for them that stated the labor should only be $600. No one will call me back to discuss this. I have called daily with no return call. Run far away from this company if at all possible.

Update: after leaving this review i noticed that the technician plugged the box into our guest bathroom which takes away 1 of the 2 outlets in the bathroom and attched the box to the bathroom wall. This was never discussed or agreed upon by me! This is not acceptable. I need someone to come back out asap to relocate the box. Please contact me and I will edit my review if its done in a timely manner. Guys were communicative, efficient and friendly. Explained everything done and was able to confirm what was done is what I expected. 1 star taken off because price was a little expensive.

Very unprofessional employees and always rude and disrespectful to neighbors. The energy aid team claim to have great professionals not true listen how they talk when they make mistakes. How they talk to potential customers with negativity…

Geo was very professional and informative for the visit to my home today.

What the company says about itself
Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.
Licensed
“EnergyAid provides qualified, licensed, and affordable solar repair services…”
Its website also mentions licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.
Elsewhere
- It is also reviewed on Thumbtack, the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
- It posts on X, Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.
What we don't know
- The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
- We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
- We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
