Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in Asheville. Across North Carolina, 72 of the 130 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 150 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Ordered by the share of one and two star reviews, weighted by how many reviews stand behind it. It ranks review records, not workmanship.

Every company we hold in Asheville, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★20%

Each mark is one company we hold in Asheville whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Rhino Renewables Solar & Electric is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

  • 5★ · around August 2026

These are the folks to trust with your energy and electrical questions. It's great to constantly see them back in the neighborhood when another one of my neighbors has chosen to go solar.

Professional, honest and reliable. One company's quote to install an EV charger was THREE TIMES AS MUCH. Needless to say, we didn't use them and were very happy we waited for Jacob.

  • 5★ · around August 2026 · the company replied

I had a very helpful and pleasant experience in preparation for the installation of my Anker F3000 battery backup solar system. And the two technicians who did the job were very knowledgeable, polite, and efficient. I changed my mind a bunch of times and they were very patient with my incisions. I looked around before I dealt with. Rhino solar services and they had the best prices and were the most helpful with all my questions. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Reviewer names are not published here. Negative reviews are shown first because they are the ones a listing hides, not because they are more representative.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Financing

“also help you explore incentives and financing options available for going solar! Save money…”

  • Warranty

“a 10-year workmanship and roof leak warranty to give you added confidence in your…”

  • Insured

  • Licensed

“technicians are fully licensed, insured, and certified, ensuring…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
