Its one and two star share is 1 point above the typical installer in the Ogden area. Across Utah, 85 of the 167 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 24 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in the Ogden area, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★35%

Each mark is one company we hold in the Ogden area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Rocky Mountain Renewable Energy is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Be extremely careful when dealing with this company and the owner of this business. After writing a grant for a client of this company, the owner refuses to put anything in writing. I have hired legal counsel and we are in the process of filing litigation for none payment of a verbal contract, slander, violation of a number of Idaho laws and torts. Be very careful when dealing with the owner, Brian Adams.

Here’s my opinion… stop what you’re doing and take your business somewhere else. I made the mistake of purchasing solar through these people and I’ve never had a worse experience buying anything. From start to finish this entire experience …

I went with this company because they seemed like a great deal. Although I need to forewarn anyone thinking of getting a system. (Go with a larger well known company!) This little mom and pop company doesn't have the support necessary to maintain your system if issues arise. I know I'm going to get back lash for this review. But warning people is the right thing to do. My system hasn't been working for over a month now... So If your not interested in the drama take my advice and your business elsewhere.

Oh my gosh!!! Brian is so amazing best solar service you could possibly ask for. If all Solar companies had a Brian you’d always be happy with your solar service. Extremely professional, kind easy to talk to for bottom line solutions. Basically if you go anywhere else you’ll eventually be right back at Rocky Mountain Solar asking for Brian. Save yourself the hassle! Thank you Brian may all good things come your way. 🙏🙏🙏

RMRE has done a great job for us over the years. In short, they are honest, prompt, professional, very reasonably priced, not pushy and do great work. Now for the long review…Our original solar installer does not work with solar any more and left us hanging when we started having problems with the solar on our garage in 2022. I feel we were lucky when we found Brian and RMRE. He was happy to take over our solar issues, came right out and diagnosed the problem. We needed a new inverter. Brian checked and found out our old inverter was still under warranty. He was able to get one from Solar Edge

Brian is very knowledgeable, friendly and answers calls promptly. He went above beyond to help me get my system linked up again after we changed internet providers. I definetely recommend him and his company for solar!!

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
