The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 481 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in the Salt Lake City area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Intermountain Wind & Solar is the red one. Took 20 years out of the life of my 30 year roof. As you can see from the pictures, the only damage is under where the panels were. They said they'd send someone out to take pictures but they never showed up or called to reschedule. Needless to say I cannot recommend them and had someone else do the removal who will also do the reinstallation once I get all the damage repaired. Have not received so much as an apology much less an offer to help with repairs.

Update 5/31/26* We went from receiving swift communication for a bit with IWS and their insurance vendor to: -slowly moving on getting authorization for basic items to repair home. -the line items prepared by field adjuster were discounted and most scrutinized and the offered settlement from them is a fraction of what is required to get home's basic repairs met. -IWS leadership has ignored our emails asking for apologies and assistance. We are 45 days into a reality of being displaced from 3 rooms in our home. I sleep on a stiff futon in my office and my wife sleeps on a couch in the family ro

6/15/2026 Reducing my review from 5 star to 3 stars. Opened Service ticket in December 2025 and after repeated requests to have repairs made, there has been no activity. We selected Intermountain Wind & Solar (IWS) after evaluating 5 different organizations. Both my wife and I have worked in the solar industry (my wife as an engineer and me in sales). This was our second solar system so we have some experience. Our sales person was experienced, personable, credible, a good listener, and straight forward. Some of the evaluated vendors displayed their lack of interest by not visiting our home on

I like the company and product but communication is a problem. Like so many they are leaning into AI and electronic contact and have lost the personal. When spending the amount a solar system costs I prefer a bit of personal contact, a call back instead of email, a person to talk to instead of a computer. The system they installed is great and as a 13 year old grid home it’s a big upgrade and I love it. As noted before however no one took the time to walk me through it so I better understand what I have. I have been left to search and learn on my own.

I have used IMWS for my solar projects three times since 2015 and they are always professional and do a great job.

Excellent work! Finished job in very professionally and timely manner. Responded well to any questions I have. It was worth going with IMS

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
