  DO NOT go through Rumos! Just DONT! We have been trying to get our solar panels installed since NOVEMBER. Materials have been sitting in our yard since October. It is now February.... Yes you read that right ... FEBRUARY. We have been ghosted by the company & just left to go back and forth with the installer on our own. The 1st installer we had was fired mid job possibly...I'm not sure?? But he disappeared. We had to hunt down our new installers because Rumos was telling us days the new installers were going to show up but when I called the new installers myself they hadn't had ANY dates set u

  Absolute nightmare. It's been the better part of a year ago that this company was paid in full for solar panels and installation and I still have no idea when I might actually not have to pay an electric bill as well as the solar panel loan. My wife has taken off to make sure they have access to all areas they need to get to after they confirm an install date. Not kidding at least ten times, they have said they were coming and no one shows up. The install team doesn't even call or text to cancel. No call, no show time and time and time again.   Rumos Chem not only did an outstanding technical job on my solar array, but it particularly excelled at communication pre-sale, during the project, and in follow-up afterward. Jay showed flexibility in adapting the proposal to my specific needs, and their contract was fair and clear. A great choice for me, even with stiff competition on EnergySage.

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

• Google also lists this company under electrical and roofing. A company that does both roofing and solar can handle the roof work a panel install often needs.
• It is also reviewed on Yelp and the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
• It posts on LinkedIn, Instagram, X and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.
