Its one and two star share is 2 points above the typical installer in the Ontario area. Across California, 519 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 15 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in the Ontario area, on one axis

Each mark is one company we hold in the Ontario area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Simply Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

  • 1★ · around August 2022

Their employees left six screws right behind my parked car and my neighbor’s car too when they were working on the roofs of our parking spots

  • 5★ · around August 2025

Courteous, professional and responsive. We were left hanging with an incomplete project started by another company. Simply Solar came in and took care of everything needed to finish the job and get us our PTO. We are very happy and HIGHLY recommend Simpky Solar to anyone and everyone. Many thanks for the great job your team did!!!

Professional, knowledgeable, efficient and reduced my electric bill down to $0 for the minimum size system needed. They knew how to size the system perfectly and didn’t over sell me! Also placement was perfect I hardly notice the panels are there!

Amazing company with amazing service. There are many installers but Simply Solar manages to stand out with their superior services after install making sure everything works as promised. The project managers are awesome and the install process is smooth and easy.

Reviewer names are not published here. Negative reviews are shown first because they are the ones a listing hides, not because they are more representative.

What reviewers keep mentioning

  • cleanliness 2

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Free estimate

“for your home or business Free Consultation Hassle-free solar for Southern…”

  • Established

“Trusted by over a thousand customers since 2013 Feel secure knowing that our licensed…”

  • Licensed

“2013 Feel secure knowing that our licensed and certified solar installers and…”

Its website also mentions licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on ConsumerAffairs. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
