Its one and two star share is 2 points below the typical installer in Massachusetts. Across Massachusetts, 107 of the 198 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 148 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

I hired Solar Rising to clean my solar panels at a very reasonable price, in my opinion. It was well worth keeping me off a ladder! Not only that, their very professional and personable crew uncovered a squirrels' nest under one of the panels, cleared it away, and repaired the damaged done by nibbling, all in the same cleaning visit. To quickly unclamp a panel to work underneath on the wiring, then set it back in place and operational, to me shows real expertise and experience. Without caked-on pollen and sap, my array looks brand new again! I'm very glad that I chose Solar Rising for this tas

Great job replacing a bad microinverter on one of our 27 Solar panels. I will be using your crew again for my next repair!

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Established

“been working in the solar industry since 2008. She is one of only a few female…”

  • Years in business

“solar installation company with over 40 years of collective experience. 1,100+ 1 +…”

  • Licensed

“on renewable energy. He is also a licensed Hoisting Engineer. At home Ben has…”

Its website also mentions free estimate and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • Google also lists this company under electrical.
  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Facebook and Instagram. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
