Solar Slate Solutions just installed their plates and brackets for solar panels on our 1880s house in Boston. Their system is well designed & work impeccable. They showed up on time, were friendly and professional, and worked efficiently. I highly recommend this company. If you're undecided about putting solar panels on slate (as I had been) there's no need to worry with them.

Dave/Solar Slate is outstanding! He is a skilled professional with a good crew to help out when needed. I highly recommend him and his company. We live in a 2-family home that has a slate roof with multiple planes and a relatively steep pitch. He installed brackets for solar panels on our slate roof, coordinating with Brightway Energy for the solar panel installation. Solar Slate is the only place that I could find in the greater Boston metro area that could do this work, and I feel very fortunate to have found Dave/Solar Slate. Dave also installed 5 solar-powered Velux skylights in our unfini

We’re thrilled with our solar panels! We had wanted them for years, but didn’t think they could work on slate. But Dave’s engineering solution changed that, and now we can admire our panels every day. The process was smooth, clear and organized. The permits and approvals took a little while, but no more time than we had expected, and they were very orderly and logical. The installation was completed in two days. Ryan communicated very well about timing and what to expect, and helped smooth over any small glitches. He and Dave also helped us find someone to remove two trees, and install a new ga

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
