Its one and two star share is 1 point below the typical installer in the Boston area. Across Massachusetts, 106 of the 198 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.
The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 400 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

The gray sky solar transit connect van traveling southbound on 495 (around exit 59 at 9:15AM on 7/28/23) was driving quite recklessly behind me. Apparently 75 in a 65 zone is not fast enough for them while I am trying to pass other vehicles, so they were tailgating me, only a couple feet behind my vehicles and looked to be aggressively verbally upset signaling me to move over. I am in the process of considering solar panels for my home. I have quotes from two other solar installers, summit solar and Revision energy. I assure you I won’t be asking great sky for a quote because apparently they’r

Nothing but problems, had to fix several times & once warranty ran out so did the service! Now they don't even return phone calls! Get solar somewhere else! Service is horrible & they lie about problems! They told me it would cost $8,000 to repair! I finally found a reputable solar company & they fixed my system for $500. It was under warranty with Great Sky! Please beware this company is deplorable !

I'm 7o years old and this is the first time I've been "Ghosted". I was working with Great Sky for weeks. Things were moving along quite well. Last I heard from my contact person was that a permit would be submitted and he would get me a final estimate. Did not hear anything. Called him back (maybe a dozen times). Called the main office (3-4 times). Was assured SOMEONE would get back to me. Have not heard a thing. Have moved on with another company. I would NOT do business with this company if I were you.

This is an competent company from a technical/installation standpoint- they provided me with careful analytics when planning the solar project at my home, and showed up when promised to install the system. But in terms of maintenance and repair, they are unresponsive and irresponsible. When my solar system stopped working for some unknown reason, they failed to respond effectively to my requests (made by phone and email) to schedule a repair or even to troubleshoot the problem. When I finally received a response, they promised to show up and failed to do so. The company is very good at doing a

I installed solar at my Newton home about 2 years ago. I talked with a number of other vendors and found most of them very sales-y and not particularly knowledgable about or believers in renewable energy. I was really impressed after my first contact with Great Sky. I never felt like I was being "pitched," but rather having a conversation about how/if solar would work for my home. While Great Sky's price was at the high end of the range, it was a no-brainer for me to choose them. I liked that they were local, had a regular team instead of using contractors like many of the others, and really s

Great Sky was responsive and friendly to work with. Installation went smoothly and our system is working well 3 years later.

Highly recommend Great Solar. They are just fantastic. The immediate feedback on energy consumption/export reinforces that this such a good thing for the planet. Just do it with Great Solar.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.
What we don't know
- The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
- We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
- We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
