Its one and two star share is 5 points above the typical installer in the Boston area. Across Massachusetts, 73 of the 198 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.
The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 213 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.
Every company we hold in the Boston area, on one axis
Each mark is one company we hold in the Boston area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Solaris Renewables is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

The team at Solaris is unfortunately very unresponsive to existing customers who carry a warranty of their systems. My inverter needed to be replaced and after waiting several weeks, the unit finally came in and a tech came out to replace it. After I noticed that my SolarEdge application was not working properly - prior to the inverter replacement, I could see data about how much energy was system was producing and drawing from the Grid. I reached out and they acknowledged that something related to the part of the system that was inside my house needed to be reset and I would have to be home t

Pretty sure they just went out of business and left us in the lurch. Website is down, emails bounce back. They led us on for 6 months that they would service an issue we were having with the system and as recently as 6 days ago told us there would be a delay. I wish they had been honest with us.

Over a year ago, this company, which we had used for solar panels and batteries solicited us for a final call on a model of Tesla batteries we already owned. We decided to get two more to increase our solar storage and gave them a deposit of 12k. A year of following up ensued before learning that the batteries were never actually forthcoming, and still no reimbursement of our 12k despite multiple follow ups. We were happy with our initial install (back when it was Revolusun), but our experience since the company rebranded as Solaris has been terrible and smacks of fraud or a scam. To think, we

Very thorough design and good choice of vendor materials. However communication throughout the project was terrible. They were unwilling to make any commitments in terms of timelines and even made 4 separate commitments for next steps and then didn’t follow through when they promised. When we had an installation issue (they installed incorrectly and power monitoring didn’t work) they refused to tell me when they could fix it. I mentioned at 3 points along the project that their responsiveness was poor but nobody seemed to care. ---------- update in Sep 2023: I spoke to Brian Sadler, a VP at So

Re-updated -- 5/2026 -- Sad to say, Solaris is no more. They closed their doors this past April. They were a great company, will be missed. Another victim of unfriendly political and commercial climate! Update -- 4/2025 (three years later): It's been long enough now for us to have more to say about the performance of the system, as well as our experiences with the company, now called Solaris Renewables. In short, other than a couple of upgrades we did to better suit our environment (wire-screening to keep critters out from under the panels, plus protection for a skylight that's below the panel

I really like this company. I did not think getting solar power was something we could do, financially or structurally. Greg met with my husband and I and outlined a plan that has worked. It was all very professional, but also friendly, and affordable! I do not feel like just another customer with Solaris, as they all work very well as a team. They are very knowledgeable and quick to answer our questions. The installation team was fabulous. All around this has been a pleasant experience and I am so excited to have gone down this path. Sincerely we recommend Solaris !

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.
What we don't know
- The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
- We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
- We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
- We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
