Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in Vermont. Across Vermont, 14 of the 28 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 12 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in Vermont, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★45%

Each mark is one company we hold in Vermont whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Solar Zack LLC is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

Zack and his team were so quick and helpful installing our solar for us. We were able to get a good deal on some panels but kept hitting a wall when all the large solar companies in the area refused to install panels they hadn't sold or leased. Zack was more than happy to install our panels and really saved the day. His team was extremely professional and kind. We are now a couple of months in with our new solar and couldn't be happier.

You know when you are asked to write a review for someone? Sometimes you don't want to because you know you don't have anything nice to say... THIS IS NOT ONE OF THOSE TIMES!!!!! Zack was great. Responsive, attentive, thorough. He did a fantastic job. He kept us informed every step of the way. I was never wondering where the project was or what was happening. The only hold up we had was my electric provider. We are so happy with our solar panels. Thanks Zack!!!!

Zack and his team are super patient with all my questions and responsive. In fact I have gotten estimates for solar from at least 3 other solar companies and Zach was the only one that gave a reasonable estimate based on what I said was important. I highly recommend solar jack to listen and address your needs.

Reviewer names are not published here. Negative reviews are shown first because they are the ones a listing hides, not because they are more representative.

What reviewers keep mentioning

  • solar panels 2
  • efficiency 2

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“you money on your electric bills. Guaranteed. Some project even qualify for FREE…”

  • Years in business

“has been in the Solar Industry for over 10 years. He has installed solar on over 1,000…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • Google also lists this company under roofing. A company that does both roofing and solar can handle the roof work a panel install often needs.
  • It posts on Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
