Its one and two star share is 3 points above the typical installer in El Paso. Across Texas, 283 of the 728 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.
The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 41 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.
Every company we hold in El Paso, on one axis
Each mark is one company we hold in El Paso whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Southwest Energy is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Worst experience I have ever had with a company, my solar panels have not been working for 2 months. Have been trying to get a hold of the technician Hector and he says he will come and doesn't show up. Try following up with him and now phone calls are getting forwarded. When you try contacting the office to speak to someone in charge the manager is never available and always in a meeting or on a phone call. Apparently if you work with that one tech he's the only one who can help you out and now they are telling me they don't know which solars he put up and they are trying to get ahold of him

Hi, I'm going to tell you what's happening to me with this company. I agree with some things and disagree with others. I was with some salespeople who specialize in getting loans for solar panels, and they did get me a $32,000 loan. They said they were going to pay me back $15,000, but they've only given me $11,800. Okay, but the rest is fine. When they installed the solar panels, I was happy, but they haven't fulfilled their promises. They haven't even given me a document or certificate that the installation is completely finished. I've already sent texts and called, but I haven't even receiv

Before installation service was great. After not so much. My bill used to be 80 a month for electric maybe 2 or 3 months a yr on 200 now I pay 250 every month for solar panels plus 35.00 fee to electric company and the balance does not go down at all. Worst investment anyone can do is to add solar panels.

What the company says about itself
Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.
Warranty
“Front & back yards Pet-safe 15-yr warranty Concrete poured straight. Driveways,…”
Family owned
“Outdoor living, built for the desert. Family-owned and crewed, based in El Paso, serving…”
Its website also mentions free estimate, established, insured, licensed and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.
What we don't know
- The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
- We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
- We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
