Its one and two star share is 2 points below the typical installer in El Paso. Across Texas, 362 of the 728 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.
The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 48 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.
Every company we hold in El Paso, on one axis
Each mark is one company we hold in El Paso whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Sunshine City Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

I had an appointment, for noon, on a Saturday. Instead of contacting me 10 minutes before my appointment, I get a text at 12:27 asking if it would be possible to reschedule because their install is taking longer than expected! I am a forgiving person, but I can't stand when my time is wasted!

We worked with Sunshine City Solar through a Solar United Neighbors of Texas community solar process. Sam and his team were great - professional, on time, good communication. The planning and installation were fast, efficient, and great quality. After 1.5 years of having the solar system, we're very happy with it.

I had a great experience working with Sunshine City Solar! Sam walked us through every step of the process and was our biggest advocate when the utility delayed our connection process. My summer electric bills came way down and I’m happy to be investing those savings into my panels instead. Sam is very honest and transparent in what can be a confusing process.

Great company to work with! Always willing to answer questions and provided answers to questions without trying to oversell the solar product. Made the entire process very easy!

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.
What the company says about itself
Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.
Warranty
“INVESTMENT Inclusive 25-year product warranty and 25-year linear performance…”
Its website also mentions veteran owned and free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.
Elsewhere
- It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
- It posts on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.
What we don't know
- The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
- We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
- We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
