Its one and two star share is 29 points above the typical installer in Madison. Across Wisconsin, 2 of the 58 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 3 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

When I installed my residential solar setup back in 2018-2019, this company was a joy to work with. They were beyond detailed, responsive and friendly. Follow up to 2023 to present and it's a joke. All those people are gone and there clearly must've been major changes and they no longer care one bit about previous residential clients. Service is non-existent and they don't respond to emails or offer any help whatsoever. After months of emails and multiple calls, once I finally got a hold of someone and had a service call scheduled, they sent out 2 techs who said they had minimal knowledge of m

SunVest Solar has completed two projects for me in the last two years ... a large, 385 kW project for a multi-family development, and a smaller, 30 kW project for a dental clinic. They are under contract to complete a third project for me this coming summer of about 25 kW for an office building. Sunvest Solar offers great overall service ... from pre-construction design and technical specifications, to installation, to post-construction follow-up/service (albeit minimally needed). They seamlessly integrate themselves into the overall construction process, always meet deadlines, and provide ver

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Years in business

“clean energy for North America. For more than 15 years, SunVest has been innovating solar…”

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Facebook and LinkedIn. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
