  Tesla never calls back or takes forever to get back to you. They also said that I could pay down my financing of my solar after I get my federal tax credit but I am not able to until 18 months later. I guess they want the interest on those financed projects. Be aware

  Support after install and PTO (permission to operate) is poor. Before installation you can easily schedule a phone call with an account-dedicated sales rep who is very efficient and motivated to resolve any problems. AFTER installation i got a message that support has switched to a different group. NOW ONLY SUPPORT IS VIA EMAIL Over email I am talking to a non-technical CSR with no engineering or PV-specific knowledge. Their job seems to be “deny, deny, deny”. Impossible to talk with anyone who will review the system-level performance of your system. Tesla says all such data is “proprietary”

  We contracted with Tesla to install our solar system (16 of their new panels and a PowerWall 3). The end-to-end process took three months to the system installation. Overall we had a very good experience. The Tesla project team was very responsive. The most time consuming part was finalizing the panel placement. The actual system installation was amazingly efficient (less than a day). Also, Tesla took care of all the paperwork and permits, so that was much appreciated. We were lucky that the PTO with our electricity provider was quite quick as well. The only unexpected issue (for me) was that

  Technicians were professional and on time, they repaired the panel clips and changed some connections.

  The whole process was awesome. Once the permits were approved, the installation was done in just one day. The installation looks great—you can tell it was done with real expertise, style, and care. The system is working great including the batteries, I can't wait until the system is paid off I can truly save money. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner.
