Its one and two star share is 11 points below the typical installer in the Brenham area. Across Texas, 256 of the 728 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 21 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in the Brenham area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Texon Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

A friend of mine is having problems being paid his last check. Owner says he has no money...

My wife and I met with Mike at Texon solar to put panels on the back of our new house and 2 batteries for back up. We spent 3 days working with him to size our system and work out all our details. Once we signed the contract, I thought we had a good deal. Expensive but seemed like a good company to go with that has the history and reviews to back up that we made a good choice. We were assigned a PM named Kaylie who seemed to be on top of our installation. Our first warning should have been when the first installation crew showed up to measure and decide where to put our system. They showed up

I highly recommend Texon solar!! My experience from the initial meeting throughout the entire project was very informative, stress free, and extremely confident! Steve and the sales team explained everything from start to finish and answered any questions along the way. Genuine people!

John was very patient with us when explaining how our church can convert to solar energy. We had no idea that government money was available for churches to add solar. Thanks John and Texon Solar.

I was skeptical at first about solar energy, but John was very patient with me and explained everything in great detail. We highly recommend Texon Solar.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
