Its one and two star share is 2 points below the typical installer in Houston. Across Texas, 372 of the 728 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 58 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

0% rated 1–2★20%

Each mark is one company we hold in Houston whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Texas Direct Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

I contacted Texas direct solar and worked with Anthony for about 3 weeks and he was quite responsive until he suddenly stopped responding. He came home and presented the final bill and I asked for 1 % discount. He even agreed to the discount but stopped communicating. I left 2 voice mail messages and a text message all of which went unanswered. I feel Anthony has been very unprofessional and he did not come out like that in the beginning. I am very disappointed. I would have appreciated at least if Anthony had been direct in his response to let me know what went wrong.

My son’s solar array was malfunctioning and Jose came out and fixed it right up. Very friendly.

Great folks to deal with especially Anthony and Jose our technician. So nice and accommodating. Even gave us a military discount.😇😇😇👍👍 …

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“electricians. We are. That means your warranty stays valid and we can fix what we…”

  • Licensed

“and detach & reset under one licensed roof. ⭐ Most Requested in 2026…”

  • Licence number

“For qualified homeowners ⚡ License #34757 State of Texas What our clients say…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, family owned and established, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on ConsumerAffairs and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn, YouTube and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
