Its one and two star share is 9 points above the typical installer in Houston. Across Texas, 209 of the 728 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.
The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 514 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.
Every company we hold in Houston, on one axis
Each mark is one company we hold in Houston whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. TriSMART Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Tri Smart Solar installed my solar panels back in November of 2023. At first, everything went well with the initial consultation and installation, but my roof has developed leaks caused by improper installation. I have tried multiple times (phone and email) to contact them to fix the leaks, which are covered under their 25 year roof penetration warranty, but have yet to receive a response. Also, the phone numbers that are available in my contract and listed on their website appear to be disconnected. I really need to get Tri Smart Solar to repair the leaks because it's causing water stains on

Do NOT use this company. They have completely ghosted me since installing my system. My system is NOT FUNCTIONING, and I have reached out in every way to try and get a response. The only response I have gotten from them is from a salesman …

So far, this has been a learning process. A very confusing process. I'm slightly disappointed that certain discussed practical projects were left out of the total install which could have made the end result more satisfying. Although the …

Edited: While we loved working with TriSmart for our initial installation. We now feel that this is the worse investment of our life. We have see an increase in our electricity bill due to reduction in buy-back credits. We have a 25-year warranty against roof penetration but here we are 5 years later with a hole in the roof due to the solar footing and unable to contact TriSmart because all the numbers are disconnected. I did hear they were going out of business but they remain active with the Comptrollers Office and Texas Secretary of State. Original: We loved working with Manny on getting ou

The Information I received throughout this process was top tier! TriSMART followed up and responded to all my emails and questions. I was offered MicroGrid and this program seemed too good to be true. I looked at getting a generator for the outages before but with this program, I received 80 kWH of backup storage from the batteries. I received all the Solar Panels and batteries with absolutely no out of pocket charge. TriSMART also became my electric provider and my cost for power and this program each month combined are less than $100 per month as a fixed rate. I received my first payment and

UPDATE: for 5 years later after being charged 20 K for solar panels, you’d think they would last longer. We were told that they are functioning at 80% and if we want to fix it it’s going to cost another 10k to bring us up to “par” insane amount to have them functioning at 100%….if that’s even the truth because at this point it seems like it’s all a giant scam. Getting our solar panels has been an easy & nice experience. They were very understanding and flexible ,as we had to reschedule install a few times .Jake was very helpful in addressing any questions or concerns . We did not ever feel pre

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.
Elsewhere
- It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
- It posts on Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, X and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.
What we don't know
- The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
- We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
- We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
- We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
