Its one and two star share is 12 points above the typical installer in Clovis. Across California, 363 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 39 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

They view off grid solar request unusual. I need an installer that has done solar without connecting to house power panel and utility company. Otherwise TrueUp can average $2,000 per year and NEM 3.0 pays customer a pittance for excess power while selling back power to customer on cloudy days and nights at retail rate.

Had a signed contract by sol-tec and myself. The next day I was asked to sign a new contract using an inferior inverter for the same price already agreed to by signed contract. Bait and switch. Be careful.

I had a technician visit few weeks ago to fix leaking pool solar. Two weeks after the repairs it started leaking again, albeit less and In fewer places. When I call them back, I was told that this will be treated as a new service and that I will have to pay again for the visit of the technician. I will seek a firm which gives you warranty for the service and clearly this one doesn’t.

We love working with the Sol-Tek team! Technicians are very courteous. They are engaged, meet their schedule commitments, and keep you informed of changes along the way. When there are hiccups, they respond quickly to address problems and make corrections. Great service at a reasonable cost!

They did a great job with great customer service. I’d definitely recommend them for your solar needs.

Sol-Teks service was amazing throughout the process. From sales, to scheduling, to installation they were all professional, respectful of the home, and knowledgeable. They installed a large solar system along with 3 batteries that has kept my house from needing to pull from the grid since the install and they also installed a solar pool heating system. I would highly recommend Sol-Tek to anyone considering solar for their home.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Free estimate

“your electricity bills with a free consultation with our solar energy consultants.”

  • Established

“company, Westech Systems LLC. since 1997. We specialize in residential,…”

Its website also mentions licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It posts on Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
