Its one and two star share is 2 points below the typical installer in New York. Across New York, 139 of the 247 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 21 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Complete spineless company and owner. Support team assessed my panels for signifcant problems by New York State Solar. Provided a report. They are so afraid of new york state solar they will not address the problems I found.

I can’t tell you how many times we looked into getting a solar system but most companies weren’t from Long Island and the systems and options didn’t make sense for us until we met Jay from 3 sons who took the time to get to know us and tailor a perfect plan for us to own our solar system. Thanks Jay!

Jay and his team have been a pleasure to work with. Always keeping me up to date on what is happening. No hidden surprises along the way. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Highly recommend 3 Sons Solar. I had first met Jay when I was looking for someone to remove an older Sunpower system as we needed a new roof. Jay was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to walk me through my options. Dave was awesome as well and did an amazing job removing the system. Not only was their pricing very fair but they were great to work with. If we decide to get a new system in the future, we would definitely use 3 Sons Solar.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Financing

“No obligation solar proposal New roof financing available Take advantage of tax credits and…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It posts on Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
