Its one and two star share is 2 points below the typical installer in New York. Across New York, 139 of the 247 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 27 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Kevin was super super helpful! Called me and walked me through fixing my issue over the phone and refused to charge me for it! Highest recommendation for Kevin and his team.

Alex and the team were great to work with. They are very professional and knowledgeable. They took their time to explain all of the options and details to me. It's great to work with a family owned and operated business like this. Definitely recommend.

We needed a new roof on our home. We had existing solar panels that needed to be removed. The roofer recommended Sunshine Plus Solar to us. Kevin came over and after discussing what it would cost to remove and reinstall 17 year old panels we decided to have an entire new system installed. Kevin was on the job the entire time. I also inquired about Solar Hot water as we have an in-ground pool. We couldn’t be happier with the installation or the way both systems work. Our pool can maintain 90 degrees if that’s our desired temperature. We have central air conditioning in ground pool and an electr

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Established

“solar solutions for over 40 years! Since 1982, we’ve completed more than 5,000…”

  • Years in business

“needs for Long Island businesses for over 40 years, we're here to help you lower your…”

Its website also mentions free estimate and 24/7 availability, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
