Its one and two star share is 2 points above the typical installer in the Salem area. Across Oregon, 45 of the 106 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 123 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in the Salem area, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★25%

Each mark is one company we hold in the Salem area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Abundant Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Had a really negative conversation with someone at this company. The individual seemed frustrated to answer my questions. He also seemed to either not understand or know the answers and became rude and hung up on me. I simply was inquiring about solar. Will not be working with this outfit and would not recommend.

I witnessed someone in your company vehicle driving extremely dangerous on Highway 22. Your driver was involved in road rage with another driver, however your company vehicle was making very dangerous maneuvers and speeding. I have video evidence. What a terrible way to represent your company. Video was also sent to Salem Police.

David with Abundant Solar is amazing! I wish I could give him 10 stars. My clients were buying a house, and we determined at the last minute that the inverter needed to be replaced. He was booked up, but took time out of his busy schedule to replace the inverter prior to close of escrow. He also helped us with all our warranty questions. He is worth his weight in gold!

We have used Abundant Solar for 3 separate solar panel installations over two decades and have always been pleased with their work and their work ethic. We very highly recommend them.

I had them put some solar on my house 10 years ago and then add more pannels last year. Very professional and easy to work with. I can find nothing to quible about even if I try ;)

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“years. Solar modules have a 25-year warranty. Solar electric systems can operate…”

Its website also mentions established, years in business and licensed, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • Google also lists this company under electrical.
  • It posts on Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
