Its one and two star share is 2 points above the typical installer in Clearwater. Across Florida, 248 of the 675 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 27 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in Clearwater whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Affordable Solar Roof & Air is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

AUGUST 2, 2026 TO WHOM THIS MAY CONCERN I AM HERBY CANCELLING MY CONTRACT, SIGNED WITH AFFORDABLE SOLAR, LOCATED IN CLEARWATER, ON 8-1 WITH YOU EFFECTIVE TODAY. NOT ONLY DID THIS COMPANY USE A PHONY PIN TO CANCEL MY IGS CONTRACT WITH ENERGY SOLAR WORLD, THEY ALSO FORGED MY ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE, AND EXECUTED A CONTRACT WITHOUT TELEPHONE CONFIRMATION. THANK GOD I WENT TO THE BBB FOR ASSISTANCE, AS THEY INFORMED ME THAT I HAD TO FOLLOW THE CONTRACT TO A T TO LEGALLY CANCEL A CONTRACT. THEY NEVER EVEN GAVE ME A COPY OF THE CONTRACT WHICH IS ONE REASON I CANCELLED THE CONTRACT AND THE FACT THAT I C

Steer clear of this company they lie lie lie. I was told they would be notified as soon as solar panels were down, lie. I was told there would not be a fee there’s $150 fee when the solar panels go down it takes weeks for them to get to your solar panels that are down customer service is awful.

After 18 months with a half installed solar system, 175 calls, 47 text messages the finance company finally took over today, i STRONGLY suggest not to go with this company!

I looked at what felt like every Solar installer in Tampa, I decided on Affordable because of the longevity of their other businesses, they used their own crews, were local, and offered preventative options (annual solar cleaning), I was installed back in the end of October. Christian was my sales person, I had been waiting on a small issue to be resolved before posting my review. I finally decided to move forward with the review. Pro: Company owned installers - Somewhat unique to Affordable (some others also offered this) Quality product - Same offered by other installers Annual cleaning - Un

Have had my solar system going on 2 years now and I'm very satisfied with the company. Just had some issues and called them within a week they were out and had everything back right again. Definitely glad I got with Christian Landeros as myself guy he still answers my phone when I have questions.

I had a fantastic experience with Josh M's crew during my solar panel and back up battery installation. They showed up right on time, were professional and incredibly friendly throughout the entire process, and took the time to answer all of my questions. What impressed me most was their work ethic...they worked tirelessly through 97-degree heat and maintained a positive attitude the entire time. The installation looks great, and they treated my property with respect from start to finish. When the job was complete, they left everything exactly as they found it, which I really appreciated. I would highly recommend Affordable. 100s of people have knocked on my door, Drew D was polite and a master of his craft. He was easily able to breakdown the difference of Duke vs Solar. I didn't have to take a loan out or pay any money our of pocket. Drew replaced my roof and installed solar. The crew was great and the communication was amazing. The process was simple, they handled everything from start to finish. They are always there when I call. I would recommend to anyone looking to avoid dukes rate hikes and save on there power bill

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“home improvement services that are guaranteed to help reduce your energy bill. We…”

Its website also mentions financing and free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
