Affordable Solar Services

Each mark is one company we hold in the Melbourne area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Affordable Solar Services is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

I called to get a solar panel removed, I was told Friday morning. They did not show up or call me to say they would be late. I called them and they said 2-3 pm. Once again no phone call they wanted to reschedule. I don't know if they do a good job at their work but they suck at communicating.

Signed a contract mid May, we were discussing going beyond original contract, but then decided to go with original plan beginning of July. Project then was continually delayed, kept being told that there was a lot of engineering to do and that I would be kept in the loop, which I wasn’t. After I reached out I finally was told 4-6 weeks, and when 6 weeks was up I had to reach out again after not hearing anything. No response for days and then got an email back stating that Randy had to back out of contract with no explanation. Very frustrating that we thought we were done and now are starting a

I was thoroughly satisfied and impressed with Affordable Solar Services, from start to finish. The installers are hard working, skilled, friendly and efficient. My System was installed in a workmenlike manner...neat and professional in a short time, in spite of the over 90° weather. Everything went according to plan, and Randy was on top of planning and execution of all permits and inspections and my system went online like a rocket. I am assuming it might not be normal results, but my PV System went from install, to online in less than two weeks. Impressive, considering the tales of woe from

I’m not sure why my review did not post last October, but I’m glad I was doing a review on another business today and found out. Randy and his crew installed solar on our home in October and we are so pleased. They made the process so easy and kept us informed through out. Randy even gave us a recommendation on a local roofing company and worked with them to coordinate the roofing and the panel install. I would recommend Affordable Solar Services to anyone considering solar power. No pressure, explained everything to us in a very easy to understand way and gave us a realistic picture of what w

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

• Insured

“customer reviewed LOCAL licensed and insured solar company in the Space Coast of…”

• Licensed

“are the top customer reviewed LOCAL licensed and insured solar company in the…”

Its website also mentions free estimate and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

• It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
• It posts on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

• —The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
• —We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
• —We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
