Its one and two star share is 16 points above the typical installer in Texas. Across Texas, 160 of the 728 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 11 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Business is bankrupt, IRS is pursuing for unpaid taxes.

Their work was done fast and efficient. But I failed to get a complete breakdown of the price of each contractor that did the work on our home. I need this breakdown s in order to file for the energy rebates the federal government offers. I've called at least a dozen to get this information. Each time with no results. Giving me the run around. I would have given them zero stars if I could.

Sam was just the nicest guy, helped me understand that hes not just trying to put solar panels on my roof and run away. Instead he looked at my home as a whole and found ways to decrease my homes consumption first. Then we didn't have to install as much solar as another company had quoted me. Overall this investment was a great choice personally.

Excellent customer service and quick installation. Highly knowledgeable with solar and energy efficiency.

I was truly amazed at the knowledge an experience of everyone at Alternatex concerning my solar and energy efficiency needs. If you are considering solar you can't go wrong by contacting them for a no hassle consultation!

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on HomeAdvisor, the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
