Its one and two star share is 7 points above the typical installer in the Cincinnati area. Across Ohio, 31 of the 113 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 305 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in the Cincinnati area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. American Dream Solar and Window is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

The company has not provided required cleaning and maintenance since installation and has gone bankrupt in May 2024. Patron's have not been apprised about warranty rights or how their systems can be maintained.

The CEO has filed chapter 7 bankruptcy and listed me as a creditor because his company came and installed my system three to four months early. This is a problem because you WILL UNDER PRODUCE during the winter and you need over production credits from spring/summer to compensate so you don't have MASSIVE winter bills. I ended up allowing but immediately complained about the timing the weeks prior and the day of install. I also expressed the system size was too small with some findings that were not disclosed. Local installers confirmed that there was way more room on my roof and they setup th

Initial install was good. Unfortunately the company failed to pay the contracted monitoring company Omninidian. Now I have no monitoring or support service. Avoid Solar is Freedom or any subsidiary.

I liked that their sales representative didn’t pressure us into making a decision immediately. He gave us time to compare options and even followed up a week later just to answer extra questions. The final setup looks clean and doesn’t ruin the appearance of the house at all.

Our roof has an unusual shape, so I expected complications, but their engineers planned the layout carefully before starting. The finished setup actually looks more organized than I imagined. They also explained maintenance tips clearly and didn’t disappear immediately after the installation was completed.

UPDATE: Company filed bankruptcy!! We became victims as well as a lot of others.... Great business to work with. Hubby and I installed our panels last year. Lloyd was our contact person and he worked hard to make sure everything was done correctly, kept us up to date on developments, quick to research questions. I have referred him and the company to others.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • Google also lists this company under electrical and windows.
  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
