Its one and two star share is 5 points above the typical installer in California. Across California, 537 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 16 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Scott, Natalie and their team were great! They helped me get rid of pigeons that had been on my roof for over a year by installing critter guard. They cleaned up the mess and worked late to finish the job. Definitely recommend!

AMERICAN SOLAR COMPANY installed my solar panels and batteries. I was impressed with their communication with me before, during, and after the installation. I am saving hundreds of dollars each month off my PGE electrical bill, post-installation of my system. I would recommend American Solar CO to my family and friends if they are considering going solar. That is how much I was impressed with their personnel and work completed.

Our 5 star experience with Scott and Natalie at American Solar Company! Finding a local provider who is both knowledgeable and accessible is so important, especially when venturing into solar energy. They truly stood out among the other companies we’ve encountered, offering clear and comprehensive information that made the decision-making process much easier. Scott's ability to guide you through each step—design, system equipment, installation, and contract finalization—clearly made a significant difference for us. And Natalie is a gem! She was readily available to address any questions or con

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions warranty, free estimate and family owned, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    Elsewhere

    • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
    • It posts on TikTok, LinkedIn, X and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. Santa Maria is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
