Its one and two star share is 3 points below the typical installer in the Grand Rapids area. Across Michigan, 49 of the 84 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 47 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Ordered by the share of one and two star reviews, weighted by how many reviews stand behind it. It ranks review records, not workmanship.

Each mark is one company we hold in the Grand Rapids area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Augustine Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

  • 5★ · around August 2026 · the company replied

If I could give Jordan and Preston 10 stars, I would! They are easily the best contractors I’ve ever hired. They handled the detachment and reinstallation of my solar panels for a roof replacement seamlessly. Not only were they professional, polite, and incredibly knowledgeable, but their communication throughout the process was fantastic. The final result was neat, flawless, and a vastly superior installation compared to my original solar company. Highly recommended!

The guys are super friendly. They are knowledgeable and helpful. Absolutely recommend them. Do yourself a favor and utilize their services.

I had flashing lights on my solar monitor and Preston helped me easily remedy the issue. It’s great to have a voice at the end of the phone line.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    Elsewhere

    • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
    • It posts on LinkedIn. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
