Its one and two star share is 2 points below the typical installer in Maine. Across Maine, 24 of the 43 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 25 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in Maine, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★75%

Each mark is one company we hold in Maine whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Aurora Roofing & Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

Awesome people to work with! Efficient and timely. Looking forward to doing another project with them this fall.

From the first contact gathering information about what a solar plan and cost would be, we were impressed with Aurora Roofing and Solar. Anytime we emailed the project manager or the owner, we received a quick reply. There was never any pressure at all. Installation went well and we’re already seeing savings!

Aurora replaced the 30 year-old roof on my house and shed with a standing seam metal roof. We met several times on site to review the project and to address all my questions and concerns. They updated their quote multiple times as I kept making changes adding and deleting scope. During the installation the crew was professional and cleaned up the site daily. The end result is amazing! I would definitely recommend Aurora if you have an interested in a metal roof.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Financing

“into a contract and initiate any financing options. Installation Our experts bring your…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, family owned and established, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • Google also lists this company under roofing. A company that does both roofing and solar can handle the roof work a panel install often needs.
  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
