Its one and two star share is 10 points above the typical installer in San Francisco. Across California, 282 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.
The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 29 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.
Every company we hold in San Francisco, on one axis
Each mark is one company we hold in San Francisco whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Axia by Qcells is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

These scammers came to my home saying they had my solar permit from the city and the work with the city. They then convinced me to switch from the company I had signed up with and to instead install solar with them. Told me everything I …

Scam company!!! This company came knocking on my door claiming to be with the city and checking in on my solar permit. Which I believed initially and later turned out to be completely false they are not with the city they are a solar company, and were trying to get me to switch from my current company that I have my installation scheduled with to them. I find that a very dishonest and shady thing to do. I would stay away from this bunch as they seem to drum up business by lying to people.

I normally don’t write reviews, but I feel obligated to warn other homeowners about my experience. A door-to-door rep showed up claiming they were working with the city and already had my solar permit information. They made it sound official and urgent, like they were somehow tied to the city and oversaw all of these permits. They convinced me to cancel the company I had already signed with and switch to them instead. Looking back, I regret that decision more than anything. The sales pitch sounded perfect. They promised lower costs, better equipment, and major savings. What actually happened h

Very happy with my battery and solar. Nothing out of pocket.

I had a very good experience with Victoria and Peter. They were honest, transparent and very respectful of my time. If you want a company who will be honest, and have your best interest in mind, this would be the company to go with.

This company and team is amazing and explained everything so thoroughly!

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere
- It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
- It posts on YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, X and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.
What we don't know
- The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
- We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
- We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
