The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 481 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

I wish there was a zero or 0.25 star. I purchased my Sunrun system based on specific representations from the sales representative regarding my expected monthly cost. I was told my payment would be approximately $103/month after incentives, while after recurving my first bill, it was $213.15/month. I went solar to reduce my existing electricity expenses, but I am now paying a substantial Sunrun payment while still receiving significant LADWP electricity bills. I have contacted Sunrun multiple times regarding the issue, but customer service has not provided a satisfactory resolution. Their cust

This has been the worst experience with my home that I’ve had thus far. They installed these panels- only for them to have NEVER worked from the start. Now, I have a new MONTHLY bill paying for the energy that the panels don’t generate because I signed a lease for them. Completely counterproductive in saving money on pge. I am absolutely upset about it. They never worked from the START and their team isn’t fixing anything when they come out. Do not go with this company. They scammed me! Do not sign with them.

Their employee, Hayden, said some incredibly racist things to me and my family. I do not suggest using this company. He shouted “you’re poor, go back to China” and sped off in his white Tesla.

The system hasn't given us any issues. It produces power even on cloudy days. Dust and birds occasionally gathering around the panels don't seem to have a negative effect on production. Our only concern is that we planned with our sales agent to have enough power to add a pool and an electric vehicle. We have an above ground pool with a stock filter and no electric vehicle, but we don't have enough power and are still paying an Edison bill every month. Our Edison year-to-date charges are $499. Our Sunrun bill went up from 161 to 165 with annual increments scheduled as well. As of right now, we

Mo was simply amazing. He stayed in contact with us from start to finish. He went out of his way to get us a new roof and a great deal in the solar panels including 3 months free. Mo is the best .

They help save money, and PG&E sucks and keeps raising prices.

The idea of solar was a "no brainer" 6 years ago. The savings and service has benefitted our household.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“of contract, 5 year roof penetration warranty, 24/7 system monitoring Who…”
  • Free estimate

“Enter your zip to start your free quote Do you own your home? Yes No Next…”
  • 24/7 availability

“full service for life with 24/7 monitoring Sunrun Subscription Plan…”
  • Years in business

“rate for the energy they produce over 25 years—replacing part of your utility bill.”

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp and the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Pinterest, X, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
