Its one and two star share is 2 points below the typical installer in the St Petersburg area. Across Florida, 371 of the 675 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 39 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in the St Petersburg area, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★15%

Each mark is one company we hold in the St Petersburg area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Bay Area Solar Solutions is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

  • 5★ · around August 2026 · the company replied

Highly recommend! Not only were they professional, on time, and experienced! They knew what they were doing, communicated through out the entire process and were super friendly. They handled everything from start to finish, kept me informed, and passed the inspection with flying colors! Will definitely reach out for any future electrical work I need and refer to all my family and friends. Special thank you to Oscar and Christina!!

Christina and Jared are the best in the business. Over the past 5 years of owning our solar, they have come out a couple times to fix small warranty repairs on Solar Optimizers. They are always easy to communicate with, turn around their service calls quickly, and have even proactively notified me of issues I was unaware of. If you're looking to get solar installed, 100% go with Bay Area Solar.

Hired them to add solar backup battery to my existing solar panel system. Jared and the whole team did a great job from start thru final inspection. Communication, installation work and pricing all very good. Highly recommended!

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Angi, Yelp and the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
