Its one and two star share is 2 points below the typical installer in the Tyler area. Across Texas, 399 of the 728 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 86 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in the Tyler area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Big Beard Battery is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Quality, price, and service. We are thrilled with our two 12v 300AH Big Beard Batteries. They have a relatively small footprint, and come with internal on/off switch and battery management system and temperature protection. And Raylea patiently, and comprehensively, answered every one of my naive questions. A great investment for our 38' Alliance Paradigm. I am adding this to my review because Big Beard Batteries has shown itself to be an ethical, responsible, and responsive company. Many companies are great when you purchase, but not so if you have issues. Our fifth wheel is at the Alliance fa

I had a complete solar system installed on my RV. From the very first contact, a request for a quote, to the thorough walk through and q&a upon delivery, I could not be more pleased. Payton was so competent and patient as he explained the system to me. If there is one tiny thing they could have done better, I cannot think of what it would be. Use these folks in east Texas. You won't be disappointed.

The Big Beard staff did an excellent job with the planning and setup for the preparation of the battery and solar panel project for my Newmar motor coach. They were available to assist and answer questions while designing my system which included numerous calls, as I made changes and considered the various equipment options and capabilities. The Big Beard techs were then available during the installation process to make sure everything functioned as planned. Utilizing the clinic gave me the confidence to tackle the installation of the batteries and solar in such a way as to not make major chan

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions warranty, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    Elsewhere

    • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
    • It posts on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
