Its one and two star share is 4 points above the typical installer in Allentown. Across Pennsylvania, 34 of the 146 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 15 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in Allentown whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Bright State Energy is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

I’ve worked in construction before, so I notice when crews cut corners. These installers didn’t. They arrived with everything organized, used protective coverings near the garage entrance, and took time to answer my random technical questions without acting annoyed. The project manager checked in twice during the install instead of disappearing after the contract was signed. We had a brief delay getting final utility approval, which was frustrating, but that part wasn’t really their fault. They still kept calling to update me every couple of days. The system has been active for about six weeks

If you're thinking of solar and are in Bright State's footprint, you're very lucky to have such a great local company to work with. I got quotes from 2 very large companies (well I tried, 1 would only give a quote after a sales call which wasn't needed at all since I shared all of my specs with all of the companies I contacted) and 2 local ones. Bright State was BY FAR the best option - they were best to deal with right upfront and their quote was the best too. So it was clear that they would be my solar company. They then EXCEEDED that initial great impression with their follow-through. Insta

I can't say enough good things about Anthony from Bright State Energy. I had several company's out to my house and several lidar reports run but none of them would answer my questions without paying for a site survey. I actually started with another company but they changed the design from what I wanted and wouldn't warrant the things they said they would. Anthony came out and answered all of my questions and designed the system exactly as we worked out together. Every step of the way was explained and he helped through the entire process including getting the SREC's and PECO rebate. We both t

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“change. Furthermore, the long-term warranty that accompanies most solar panels…”

  • Years in business

“sustainable future. Brad Modrich With over 25 years of experience in training and…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It posts on Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
