Its one and two star share is 32 points above the typical installer in San Antonio. Across Texas, 54 of the 728 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 292 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in San Antonio, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★40%

Each mark is one company we hold in San Antonio whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. CAM Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

Similar to other reviews, cannot connect with customer service, which is unfortunate as they will thus no longer honor their warranty that they sold with the system. I'm having to pay quite a bit to a local technician instead to have them service it.

We can't get anyone out to service our panels that are down. Looking at the other comments it looks like w need to contact BBB. Update: Finally made contact and they are calling back and working with me. Hopefully we can get this resolved.

I've been trying to reach someone about our site not producing. Every time I try to call the number it never goes through, emails go unanswered. It's disappointing because in the beginning they were great 🫤 …

They did a good job on the install, but they haven’t come to fix the comm on my inverter and they have yet to pay me on a referral I made last year.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Veteran owned

“solution for your home or business. Veteran Owned & Operated As a veteran-owned…”

  • Free estimate

“energy needs are met sustainably. free estimate San Antonio austin Central Texas…”

  • Licensed

“step of the process by our trained, licensed, and experienced solar specialists .”

Its website also mentions warranty, established and insured, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on X and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
