Its one and two star share is 66 points above the typical installer in California. Across California, 27 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 3 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

I just got off the phone with Armando yesterday. W just moved into our home and I was hoping he would take the time to help me decide how big of a solar system I needed since I don't know how much I use in this new home. Instead, he said he wanted to just give me an average sized system because calculating exactly what I need would be "too much work." I told him I was not comfortable with just guessing because I didn't want to have to pay for extra panels later out of my pocket, when some specific calculations now could enable me to run them through the HERO program. He said, "I don't need thi

Unprofessional! We called Armando one day to ask a few questions about the quote he had given us. He said he had other (more important?) things to do and that he would call back in an hour, but we didn't get a call back until like 3 days later. He apparently had more important things to do for 3 days.

Clean Ray Energy installed solar for our house with the best price! Totally recommend!

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions licensed, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    Elsewhere

    • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

    Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
