Its one and two star share is 48 points above the typical installer in North Carolina. Across North Carolina, 10 of the 130 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 4 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

What reviewers said

Got approved for the VPP 9 February 2026 however, this company cannot seem to get the paperwork correct. I have had 10 emails from AEPDER letting me know that the paperwork is incorrect - been this way since 24 February 2026 to date and I cannot get ANY answers nor communication from them. I don’t understand why a company which purports to be an electric company can’t complete what should be routine paperwork - get it right. They’ve had almost 3.5 months to do so and each time I call OR email I can’t a straight answer. Very bad look for a company.

Customer service emails are terrible. He barely answered my questions. I asked four questions, each neatly numbered. He answered one of them.

DCE Solar is an amazing company with focus on quality commercial racking design, manufacturing and installation. Great people who strive to deliver superior service.

DCE is an outstanding partner for installation contractors. Their designs are practical, well documented, and clearly developed with the field in mind, which makes installations more efficient. Their team is responsive, aligned, and easy to work with. DCE understands the realities of construction and consistently delivers high quality solutions we can stand behind. We would gladly work with them again and confidently recommend them to any developer or EPC.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Established

“and utility-scale solar projects. Since 2009, our innovative systems have powered…”

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
