Its one and two star share is 7 points below the typical installer in the Charlotte area. Across North Carolina, 71 of the 130 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 465 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Turned out that the result after the installation was different than what was mentioned during the sale. Very much disappointed :(

I recently had some solar panels installed by this company. The individuals I encountered were all very friendly, including the installers. The problem I have, however, is with the length of time it took to complete the job. I was told the process would take 2 months total from start (coming out and measuring) to finish (having everything installed and ready to turn on). When the installers came to install my panels, they said their paperwork showed my breaker panel being located differently which added almost a month more to the process because now we had to wait for parts to come in and be i

If you are looking into solar power, NC Solar is well worth contacting. Very professional and friendly.

I am very pleased with our recent installation of a NC Solar Now system. The entire process from beginning to end was professionally handled. Each stage of the operation was completed quickly and successfully. All employees involved were friendly, courteous and extremely knowledgeable. The lead installer, Vinh Ngo was informative and helpful. He came immediately back to address inspection issues and had a great attitude. The panels are working perfectly and the app is easy to use. Our first month's energy bill with the new panels was $0.00.

We’ve now had enough time with our system to see how it performs, and I’m very happy with our experience with NC Solar Now. The installation was done very well, including our solar panels and Tesla battery storage. Everything is now fully operational and working as expected. More importantly, we’re seeing the results in our energy usage and Duke Energy bill — our solar credits are coming through and the system is delivering the savings we were hoping for. Our project manager was excellent throughout the process — proactive, responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful from start to finish. As with a

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions free estimate, established and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    Elsewhere

    • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
    • It posts on LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, X and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

    Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
