Its one and two star share is 2 points above the typical installer in the Raleigh area. Across North Carolina, 65 of the 130 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 384 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

They were not my installer but I needed a repair to my inverter. They said since they were not the original installer that I would need to go to the back of the line and it would be a few weeks. I waited and waited then after a month I called back. They had no record of me and after explaining the situation they did send someone out within the week. I should have seen this as a sign and left. I was quoted "$250 for a truck roll and $90-$180 depending on if the service is on the ground or roof." My inverter needed replacing, but it was covered under warranty so I figured it would be replaced at

If I could give them a zero stars I would April the front desks sales is very Rude when I tried getting information about what kind of batteries or system they used she said I’m not going to tell you that and disconnected the call I called again and asked to speak to someone else she said she didn’t have no one else in the office. It is very common for people to ask for details about what someone is trying to buy or invest their money into. Please next time be kind you can not reflect what you’re going through onto people. I wouldn’t call back or buy from them just for the way April spoke to m

Incredibly reckless drivers work for this company. A truck cut off a car right before an intersection without signaling and nearly hitting someone trying to make a right turn. The aggressive driving is while. Horrible representation for this brand.

Salesman provided sufficient information. Installer completed the job in a short period. Their quality of work is very good. After installation, this company monitor the operation of the solar system, and fix any problem in time. The system has worked very smoothly for 10 months since installated.

The guys that came for my repair showed up on their scheduled time. They were friendly and helpful. They kept me well informed as to the process. I look forward to them returning when the new parts are available.

I highly recommend YES Solar. Everyone was great and working with this company was very easy. I was and am thoroughly satisfied. Solar is a great energy source and a win for the environment. It is great. As for my energy bills, I have paid 0 since getting my battery and only paid the connection fee when I only had my panels. Although Duke Power is trying to make solar less cost effective for consumers, it is still worthwhile.

Reviewer names are not published here. Negative reviews are shown first because they are the ones a listing hides, not because they are more representative.

What reviewers keep mentioning

  • solar panel installation 38
  • pricing 34
  • professional technician 15
  • polite staff 13
  • inverter replacement 10
  • quick installation 9
  • power bill reduction 6

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Years in business

“Small Business of the Year. With over 15 years in the solar industry, Yes Solar…”
  • Licensed

“a locally owned and operated, fully licensed North Carolina general contractor, we…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, X and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
