Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in Placerville. Across California, 788 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 20 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in Placerville whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Diamond Solar Solutions, Inc. is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Diamond Solar Solutions provided an exceptional experience from start to finish. I reached out because I needed a Tesla Universal Level 2 charger added to my house, and they gave me a prompt, fair bid. They even installed it sooner than I thought they would. Connor, the electrician who handled the installation, was efficient, professional, and obviously skilled, completing the entire setup in just a few hours. After dealing with Level 1 charging for a full year, jumping up to charging ten times faster is an absolute game-changer. I have a vehicle with the J1772 connector, but know that Tesla's

We highly recommend Diamond Solar Solutions, Inc. Their team is knowledgeable, professional, honest, and easy to work with. From the first phone call, they came to our home, evaluated the best number and placement of panels, recommended the right battery setup, and gave us a clear estimate. Operations Manager Josh Bandy kept us informed at every step, and the job was completed expertly, on time, and within the original estimate. Since installation, we have relied entirely on our solar system, even while running the air conditioner constantly, with almost no dependence on PG&E. An excellent com

Diamond did a fantastic job on a very challenging off-grid project. Remote site. Rough road. Weather that did not cooperate. They got the job done and the system works great. We finally have reliable power. We highly recommend Diamond Solar.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Licensed

“than just solar. As a trusted C-10 licensed electrical contractor in El Dorado…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
