Its one and two star share is 3 points below the typical installer in Utah. Across Utah, 100 of the 167 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.
The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 5 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

During the mad dash to lock in nem 2 rates last April with PGE I contacted DIY solar and my neighbor went with a big local turnkey installer. We both powered our systems up this week with in a couple of days of each other. Our systems are almost identical and I also hired a local general to assist on most of the install yet he paid almost 20k more than I did. Granted - I spent alot of time going back and forth between you tube and my install and several attempts at muttling through the installer app but once we powered up and saw those KWs flowing it was a big high five. I was struggling to find a supplier that carried the quality products that I wanted at a reasonable price here in Northern CA. A friend of mine that installs solar in Salt Lake recommended DIY Solar, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. They delivered a quality package at a very good price, and made it easy to work with my local municipalities to facilitate code-compliant installation. The installation package was very easy to work with, and I was able to finish it myself within a day. Every product was well thought out and interfaced seamlessly. Thanks again DIY Solar!

DIY solar has been a pleasure to work with. Michael responded to every question and request promptly and courteously. My system arrived quickly, and I had no issues with the design they provided. I installed the system per plans and passed my inspection with ease. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone looking to build a DIY solar system.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.
What we don't know
- The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
- We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
- We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
