Its one and two star share is 8 points below the typical installer in Wailuku. Across Hawaii, 53 of the 87 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 5 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in Wailuku, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★45%

Each mark is one company we hold in Wailuku whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Eclipse Solar Services is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

  • 5★ · around September 2024 · the company replied

I needed old solar panels removed prior to a new roof install. Ikaika at Eclipse Solar Services responded quickly and the panels were removed efficiently. He then recommended new panels that were more efficient and had them installed promptly after the new roof went up. Highly recommend him and his company -- Tony Krieg, Homeowner

I found this new company on Yelp and so glad I did. Ikaika did a great with the replacement of my solar water heater and his wife who holds down the office is courteous and timely in her communication. I highly recommend Eclipse Solar Services

We are very satisfied with the quality of work and product that Eclipse Solar has done for us. Ikaika is both knowledgeable and professional ability. He was a pleasure to work with and we will surely be doing business with Eclipse again!

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. Wailuku is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
